The Shooting Star

As the sun sets and the moon takes it’s place I shut my eyes and hear a shooting star go past, I make a wish. I wish…..I wish…..I wish I could swim with the dolphins and whales, hide with the fish and eat with the sharks…Oh, I wish this dream would come true. I opened my eyes and saw the shooting star zip past out of sight.

I woke up, the sun rays shining through my curtains and in my eyes. That’s what it felt like but what I saw was completely different, fish swimming happily, whales gliding through the deep, dolphins prancing too high for my reach and at a far distance sharks eating messily. I looked down and saw myself in a fish body with pink scales and blue and purple dots, I was some kind of Angel fish…. There was no waking up call from my Mother, no light rays, no waves coming in and out, no family and no dog licking up and down my sleeveless arm. I was out in the deepest blue seas alone. “BLUPSGZEPLP” I could not talk anymore I couldn’t even say help. I wasn’t with my family. It must have been that stupid wish I wished for and now I had it. Where would my family think I was?

I swam this way and that lost already, weaving out of the seaweed and other sea creatures. I looked for a way out and suddenly felt a shadow behind me. I froze and glanced back behind me was the biggest shark I had ever seen before, It was so close I couldn’t even identify it which I normally would have been able to of done. I swam as fast as I could, unfortunately fish swim differently from humans so I was unexperienced that I barely moved anywhere and I heard the jaw opening and teeth closing me into a deep, dark, black whole and the sound of bones breaking and then there was silence for what it seemed like for a very, very long time.

I felt lines of heat over my limp body and the sound of faint noises I lifted my eye lids and to my greatest delight there was the sound of birds singing in the brightest blue sky and my smiling Mum standing above me. I hugged her hard and ran off downstairs to find Dad and Chris and our dog Biscuits.
