The Land of Ram!

It was a dark night, the wind was blowing against Emily’s window, lightning struck. She looked out into the back garden and jumped with surprise. There were people there, people that you would expect to find in fairytales. There were wizards, princesses with golden hair, fairies, goblins etc. but they seemed to be fighting. She watched them for ages then decided to go outside. But when she did they were gone.

The next day she decided to investigate she looked all around the garden then fed up she went to go, was it all in her imagination. Then she saw the ornamental fairy door was wonky. She walked to it slowly as if one quick move would make something happen. Then she moved it aside, there was a hole just big enough for her to crawl inside. Then she saw them, all asleep a wall split them into groups. Now Emily was determined to find out what had happened and maybe if she can solve it.

She then ran to her mum and asked her if she could sleep outside her mum said if she was good for the rest of the day. So that afternoon she put up her tent with the help of her mum she had it up in a few minutes. So Emily sat in the doorway of the tent drinking hot chocolate. Then she saw them they were fighting again she walked quickly and quietly to them and then she saw an elf walking up to her, she took her chance walked slowly up to him and said, “hello sorry to disturb you but what is happening?” “Why are you fighting?” “They broke our spade they were borrowing it and they broke it!” “Why can’t you get a new spade.” Stop asking silly question of course we can’t what would you say if I went into your shop saying could I have a spade please it would all be on the news, ELF IN SHOP!” Why do they need a spade thought Emily but thought it best not to ask. “Well why can’t I get you a spade” “STOP ASKING Si… ” “Well thank you dear but it is our problem and our spades are tiny” interrupted a hag “ What is your name?" “Emily” “Well Emily you look like a very kind girl, could you do something for me it may be dangerous, my friends here will help you” Emily wanted to help and she was curious so she said. “What would you like me to do?” “Well you see there is only one thing that can mend the spade it is in the island of Ram, there is a pond with funny pebbles around it if you dip the spade in the water” “Where is this place of um of? ” “Ram! Well you know where you found us well, in there is a door that leads there It’s very easy to notice! “Ok then I will do it as long as I’m with someone that knows were they’re going.” So they set off the next day Lucy crawling through the hole she looked pretty silly waking next to a tiny gnome, but she did not care she was going to save the day!

When they got through the hole the room was much bigger then last time Emily saw it, it in fact it was as big as two reasonable sized fields now that’s quite big, well enormous for a room. Then Emily saw a door the door that they were talking about yesterday. She was sure that she didn’t see it yesterday, but the door was tiny. Then the elf started rummaging in his pockets and pulled out a stick then he tapped it on the tiny door twice and it grew and grew intill it was the same size as Emily. She closed her eyes as elf pulled her in through the door. Then she felt a something soft under her legs then she opened her eyes again it was a carpet, but hang on a minute she was flying. The elf then nudged her shoulder there under them was the pond exactly like she imagined it. Then the elf pulled her off the carpet and she started to fly. It was an odd sensation the air holding her up. She wasn’t even moving the air seemed thicker than the air where she was only a few minutes ago. Then she landed with the elf basically at the same time. The elf then gave her the spade she knew what she had to do she ran to the pond and jumped into it all her scratches and bruises healed up. The spade started wriggling in her arms. She dropped it but when she looked up it was swimming to the shore it had arms and legs and was wearing a crown. The next moment she was in the room with the elves and all the creatures but there was no wall between them and the spade sitting on a thrown. “ This is our king!“ “Thank you, now we can all live in peace!” All the creatures screamed at Emily “And be happy again!” Then Emily waved goodbye and set off home!
